HRCx provided 100% commissioning services for the University of Toronto’s new Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship Building (CEIE). This 140,000 ft² facility designed by Montgomery Sisam Architects in association with Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios is an 8-storey development with two additional basement levels.
Located at 55 St. George Street, this ‘smart building’ features state-of-the-art collaborative classrooms and fabrication facilities, in addition to the University’s Entrepreneurship Hatchery, the Centre for Global Engineering and the Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering. It is targeting Toronto Green Standards Tier II.
Part of the scope involved commissioning the buildings Under Floor Air Distribution System (UFAD) and atrium space to make sure the systems were achieving its low energy consumption goals. The University of Toronto CEIE building is just one of the many projects we have completed with the University.
The University of Toronto CEIE building is the most sustainable post- secondary building in Canada.
