The Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care located in Penetanguishene, Ontario is a mental health facility for the care of treatment of psychiatric patients. The $474 million dollar facility includes secure detention quarters, a forensic department, clinical rooms, treatment hall, gymnasium and pool, workshops, kitchen and servery, an auditorium, visitors centre and spans.

The HIDI Group provide mechanical and plumbing for the 350,000 ft² healthcare facility, designed by Cannon Design.   Waypoint is LEED Gold Certified, and includes heat recovery and geothermal systems to achieve more than 42% energy savings as compared to a conventional building. It is a stand-alone system that can run completely on its own for 7 days and is equipped with its own power supply and fuel storage system.
