The new 450,000 ft² York Region Administrative Centre Annex designed by WZMH Architects will offer various public services once complete including Public Health Clinics, Social Services, Ontario Works, Housing Service, Provincial Offences Act Courts, York Small Business Enterprise Centre and Access York Customer Service.  Located next to the York Region Administrative Centre and across from the Newmarket Courthouse, the new Annex building will create a civic campus with in a newly established government district.

The HIDI Group provided both mechanical and plumbing for the new government building which included  HVAC Distribution Systems (Air Handling Systems, Terminal Devices, Mechanical Ventilation, Heat Recovery And Energy Conservation, Emergency Generator, Sound And Vibration Control), Heating & Cooling Systems (Heating Plant, Cooling Plant), Energy Supply (Natural Gas System, Fuel Oil Storage System), Building Automation System, Fire Protection  and Plumbing Systems (Domestic Water System, Sanitary Drainage System, Storm Drainage System). The project is targeted to achieve LEED Gold Certification.
